Andor Season 2 has reached its halfway point, plunging Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and his allies into one of the darkest chapters of the Galactic Rebellion. Will There Be AnAndorSeason 3?

No, there will not be an Andor Season 3. Andor Season 2 is the final season of the Disney+ show.

Even though series creator Tony Gilroy andAndorstar/EP Diego Luna initially planned five seasons ofAndor, they shifted course when they realized how long one season of the show takes to make.

“It is the final season because it takes two years and a half to make one season,” Luna explained onJimmy Kimmel Live. “We promised five at the beginning, but then we were doing the first… The amazing Tony Gilroy came to Scotland and we were shooting and we sat down and said, ‘Like this is going to be impossible. I mean, how can we do five seasons? It’s more than a decade. I cannot fire a blaster for another ten years.’”

That said, AndorSeason 2 isn’t the end of Cassian Andor’s story. Star Wars fans can go straight from theAndorSeason 2 finale into the events ofRogue One: A Star Wars Story, which in turn, leads directly into the opening ofStar Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.
